I’ve heard that it is an amazing road, and I kind of want to drive it, but I’ve never driven a road so technical. I know the Slowrunner’s limits, but my worry is other peoples much higher limits. I plan on doing this on Thanksgiving(instead of visiting family, this is much closer and quieter), so it shouldn’t be to busy, but I don’t want to be a nuisance to others. Plus, on Thanksgiving I will have had the thing for 4 years, so I kind of want to take a drive anyway. Sebring for your time.

What is the Slowrunner - what sort of car?

I’d do it. I don’t even know the road but it would be fun to try.

2nd generation 4Runner with loads of ground clearance. It’s hilariously fun around curves, but not fast around them.

All the roads in that area look great.

Oh yeah they do, but this one has a bit of a underrated status.

I would say the most important thing in the equation is the tires - they should be in good shape and capable of handling any weather that pops up.

Plenty of tread with no dry rot, and they do well in snow if that is encountered. I hope it is.

Drove it as recently as this spring. I wouldn’t worry about driving it. There are plenty of slowpokes. It’s also plenty of fun at perfectly sane speeds anyway. It’s mostly empty most of the time anyway.

Awesome! I wasn’t planning on going anything over perfectly sane anyways.

You’ll be fine then. Local traffic is all old pickups anyway.

That’s fine. That’s more or less what I’ll be in, just less ‘Murican.

I love snow. I’d stay home unless there was an emergency, but I love it.

Had an ‘87 Toyota 4x4 Longbed - you could not kill it, and it never failed to start and deliver. Nice ride.
